the story
lyda
hey!
this is a dream. a dream in the making, something i have always admired in the book of esther was the time of preparation. the time to take care of the bodies we have been given. a little backstory to this story, for those unaware, esther was given a year of treatments including a variety of ointments and oils to beautify. this was a beautifying process done to take care of bodies in order to bloom. this story has always inspired me to truly take care of my body. not only do we take care of our bodies by what we put in them, but also what we apply onto the skin and how we treat the skin. skin is the biggest organ in our bodies. being the biggest organ means taking extra gentle loving care of to keep revitalized. we have been given bodies and bodies to take care of.
"he has made everything beautiful in its time."
ecclesiastes 3:11
"lyda" means beauty. beauty takes time. healing takes time. blooming takes time. to have beautiful skin we have to take care of it. not only taking care of it by putting products on our skin, but by the type of ingredients we put on our skin. so many skincare products are actually toxic to the body filled with harmful chemicals and ingredients. these products overtime do more damage to the body than actual good. knowing what you are putting on your skin is vital to be conscious to have health.
lyda is a space created to provide healing, refreshing, beautifying skincare with organic ingredients at their natural intended state. olive oil and honey are the key ingredients behind lyda.
"wine that gladdens human hearts, olive oil to make their faces shine, and bread that sustains their hearts."
psalm 104:15
"kind words are like honey — sweet to the soul and healing to the body."
proverbs 16:24
this dream bloomed into a reality when i was diagnosed with chronic lyme disease. lyme is something that can be treated if caught at the beginning, however, if undetected for years can become a much more serious reality to deal with. It became much more serious in my case which has become a gift in the way my eyes have been opened for how to take care of our bodies, taking care of our bodies is a lifestyle and to be fully healthy every aspect of living has to be in alignment with that. this is something you can plant in one area of your life but with lyme it is something you must plant into every aspect of your being. it always goes back to Jesus. we live because of him. because of him we have the choice to take care of what we have been given and live in the fullness of what we were designed to be.
"for we are God's masterpiece. he has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
ephesians 2:1o
"for if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. and who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"
esther 4:14
esther was made queen for her time. God has made each of us for our time he predestined long ago. you were made for such a time as this. the heart of lyda is to be a piece of heaven, a piece of healing, a piece to plant into the time you were made for. you can't step into what he has for you without healing, preparation, beautifying, and his endless love.
